Interlocked Chapter IIICina lit the scented candle, and set out to go tell Scono his room was ready. When she arrived in the Throne Room, she avoided looking at The Lady’s face. Cina’s face and eyes were her worst giveaway. Her damn emotions were what had got her here in the first place! She escorted Scono to the Red Room, and then ran to her own dusty sleeping place. She had to shut the windows; fast! Everybody seemed to think that shades would burn up in the sun, but it just hurt their eyes terribly. Cina’s eyes watered even thinking about it. Being a shaper, she transforms herself into what the average human thinks of as an ‘elf.’ One of those hideous Santa Claus elves. (In 2123 the Elfish Legion of Legends declares that elves do not help the old fiend…they left that up to dwarves.) In 2020, a five year old girl named California accidentally trips over Poinsettia, the insane princess of the Royal House.
